School Subjects Name That Tune
This is a familiar musical game with a major twist, to provide a framework for reminiscence about school days, a cognitive challenge for participants, and the springboard for a variety of shared music-making experiences. Participants choose a card from a deck, each of which represents a different school subject. The selected school subject is the prompt for the name that tune game. After each song is correctly identified, participants engage in music-making related to that song.
Printable school subject cards and song suggestions are included, as well as an instruction video and written instructions. Recommended adaptations and variations to address the varying skill levels and needs of participants are also included. The music therapist must have the suggested songs in their repertoire or in a recorded format to use this intervention.
This item includes the music therapy intervention plan, subject cards, and training video.
